CPIS also provides internet based overviews of CMMI® and seminars and workshops to give more in depth and practical knowledge of individual process areas, as well as practical workshops that can be tailored to our clients’ needs, for example to achieve particular CMMI® levels or CMMI® certification. To complement our training options, and to help our clients get the best out of their CMMI® training, CPIS also provide effective and practical CMMI® consultancy/mentoring and assessment services.

Introduction to CMMI® for Development

A 3-day CMMI training course, the Introduction to CMMI® for Development is a CMMI Institute authorised course that is recommended for product developers, process implementers and development/process managers interested in developing their knowledge and confidence in CMMI®. It is a pre-requisite for many CMMI® activities (e.g. Class A appraisal team membership), and is mandatory for anybody wishing to progress to higher level CMMI® training or roles (e.g. CMMI Instructors, CMMI Lead Appraisers).  Over 500 trainees have completed our CMMI training courses with an average satisfaction rating of 92%.

Introduction to CMMI® for Services

A 3-day CMMI training course, the Introduction to CMMI® for Services is a 3-day, CMMI Institute authorised course that is designed for service provision organizations that want to improve their ability to establish, manage and deliver effective and efficient services. With around 80% of the world economy being made up of service industries, the competitive edge that improvements in service development, provision and maintenance can give, could be the difference between success and failure especially as increasingly customers demand more from less. CMMI® Overview Workshop

This interactive CMMI® training workshop is designed to introduce the CMMI® model and approach to anybody considering using CMMI®, and provides an appropriately tailored overview of:

  • the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®)
  • why to focus on process capability and/or organisational maturity
  • what CMMI® can do for your business

The CMMI Institute’s Services Supplement for CMMI® is a 1-day CMMI® Institute certified course that introduces service providers and managers, appraisal team members, and process group members to the CMMI® concepts and components relevant to service delivery. CMMI® for Services is applicable to technical maintenance, operations, logistics, and IT services etc., but can also be applied to many other types of service and industries.
